At the beginning of 2022 I started to create illustrations that explored color, texture, scale,
and the relationship between them. Spontaneous, and gestural, these compositions felt new and mysterious.
As a series they make me think of distant forgotten worlds, or ancient relics that possess untold power.
They make me think of what else could be out there in the universe.
“GLOW”
An animated short film concept I created about an Italian glassblower (Aldo) and his grandson (Paolo).
When Paolo can’t fall asleep one night he wanders down into Aldo’s workshop. Illuminated by the light and sparks of the kiln, Aldo gives Paolo a marble and tells him to look closely. Suddenly, the workshop explodes around them, and bands of glass swallow the room. The pair awaken to a world filled with life, color, and experience an unforgettable adventure.
